  • So far, I have taken many classes that have improved my knowledge as to how children learn and develop and how to teach children in a more effective way. These calles include:
    • HCCF 170: Intro to Early Childhood Education and HCCF 160: Intro to Early Childhood Development
    • In addition, I've taken HCCF 160A: Observing and Recording Child Development, Pyschology 101, and Communications. Communications has impoved my ability to speak to large groups of people.
  • I did something fantastic!

2005-2009

William Mason High School

Mason, OH

  • I went to Mason my entire life and was given many opportunities through Mason that I wouldn't have been given otherwise. By going to such a large school and having so many options to take classes that I wanted to take, AP and honors classes, and the classes that I needed, it prepared me for college and the decisions that come with it. It also prepared me for the professional world because of all of the oportunitires that I was given including Teacher Academy.

Teacher Academy

Mason, OH

  • Teacher Academy was offered through a nearby community college and my high school and we got to go to every school in Mason and teach children of all ages in order to see which age group we were most comfortable with. Teaching the different age groups gave me great practice in getting me comfortable to teach in front of people and to let me know if this profession was really what I wanted to do.
  • We made a portfolio complete with descriptions and evidence of what we learned throughout our year in teacher academy.
